From one end of the Surfcoast to the other we were greeted
to a chilly Vicco morning
As our luck would have it, the waves that had been hanging round for a few days
had disappeared.
The fact that the sun was out (for a change) meant that everyone was still keen
to hang around and have a paddle. It was great to see a few families being
dragged along too.
Rusho in his snow gear.
Deano was the first to hit the water
Some big boards headed down the point
MJ slid into a few
As did Woody
Warwick was busy testing boards
Heaps of people just hit the ankle slappers out the front at Draino's
Kristi headed down the point too
Lummers decided to go finless

We were wondering about a collective noun for SUPers as the guys who had paddled way down the coast mixed with those who had stuck around out the front.
As we watched the action on the water, a young fella on his little BMX still sporting training wheels decided to add some Travis Pastrana style action and launch off the end of the beach 'runway' clearing the rocks head first and landing about 4 meters across the rocks onto the sand. Thankfully the only damage done was some sore aggots.

Rich, loving his new Laguna
Another new Laguna, This time John T's
Mick
As everyone dried off, Big Kev snuck out on Nick's new Quatro to catch a few lumpy ones on the point.
Thanks to everyone for sticking around and enjoying the day, cheers to the
Melbourne crew for making the trip down. Congrats to John Lane for taking out
the Ripcurl watch spot prize.
Lets hope we get both sunshine and some good waves for our next club day on the 9th of September.
